Alex Blackwell
Alex Blackwell was born and raised in Garden City Beach, SC. He found his way into art and music at a young age and toured the world as a full-time musician with his band, Hundredth.
It was during this time that he was introduced to many sought-out tattoo artists from all over the world whom he had the privilege of getting tattooed, thus leading him to pursue a career in tattooing himself in 2014.
He began his career in Reno, Nevada, under Tony Medellin. Since then, he’s worked in several shops across the Southeast, including Hero Tattoo and Charleston Tattoo Company. In 2019, Alex moved to Asheville and worked at Empire Tattoo before joining Greenhouse in 2022. Alex has experience idealizing in any style, but he specializes in classic and traditional tattooing.
