Hair Stylist:
Dre Donogue
Dre Donoghue spent over a decade living and working in NYC. "I moved to New York in 2005 to apprentice for the cutting program at Bumble and bumble, where I eventually became a stylist and lead educator.”
“I attended and taught foundational and advanced styling and cutting classes throughout my time at Bumble. It provided a strong foundation that has allowed me to build and grow a freelance career in editorial styling, wedding styling, education, and provide cuts and styles for my in salon clients."
"Additionally working backstage during fashion week has always been a huge learning opportunity for me, and lent its hand to the type of styling I’m drawn toward."
During Dre’s time spent in New York, she worked backstage on top designer shows such as Zac Posen, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, and Dior. She credits her close work under some of fashion’s most influential hairstylists, Laurent Phillipon, Rolando Beauchamp, James Pecis, and Guido Palau for her continual growth and education. “I’ve taken inspiration from these experiences and love to share this approach with the hairdressers I teach."
Dre’s love for educating allows her to travel the country, and also teach one on one classes at her studio in Asheville, NC. “Moving to the mountains has been such a nice change for me and my family. I love when people visit me here in Asheville to take a class, and are also able to enjoy a peaceful getaway in this charming mountain town."
