Chuck Donoghue has nearly 20 years experience in the tattoo industry. He spent many years working at some of the most reputable shops in New York City including Dare Devil, Fun City, Kings Avenue, and Greenpoint Tattoo Co. He accredits these various experiences working along side great tattooers to his growth, and has helped influence his diverse body of work. While traditional tattoos are what he is most inspired by, he enjoys creating all different styles of tattoos for his clients. In 2017, Chuck and Dre moved to Asheville while expecting their son Charlie. Chuck was honored to take a position at Hot Stuff Tattoo up until 2021. It’s been a long time dream for Chuck and Dre to start something together and they are excited to share Greenhouse with the community of Asheville. 
Alex Blackwell was born and raised in Garden City Beach, SC. He found his way into art and music at a young age and toured the world as a full-time musician with his band, Hundredth. In doing so, he was introduced to many sought-out tattoo artists from all over the world whom he had the privilege of getting tattooed, thus leading him to pursue a career in tattooing himself in 2014. He began his career in Reno, Nevada, under Tony Medellin. Since then, he’s worked in several shops across the Southeast, including Hero Tattoo and Charleston Tattoo Company. In 2019, Alex moved to Asheville and worked at Empire Tattoo before joining Greenhouse in 2022.
Alex has experience idealizing in any style, but he specializes in classic and traditional tattooing.
Cosmetic tattooing
Mack Tomrell has been in the Asheville area for 9 years and has been the shop manager at Greenhouse for two years. Recently, she decided to pursue a career as a permanent makeup artist with a specialization in lip blushing. She received professional training at Laurel Cosmetic Studio in NYC, and continues to refine her skills in permanent cosmetics. Soon, she'll be adding services such as freckles and eyebrows. Her goal is to create natural looking enhancements that give her clients confidence and everyday convenience.
